Have you watched The Force Awakens? We caught the movie last weekend as hubby is a big fan of Star Wars and could not wait to watch the movie.
Here is a Darth Vader pasta I made a few weeks ago. I used squid ink pasta and stir fried with garlic and chopped chilli for added heat. I used angel hair pasta to create Darth Vader’s features, and cut a strip of red pepper for his light saber.
I made these Star War sandwiches last weekend after we watched the movie. The characters featured here are BB8, Chewbacca, R2D2 and a Stormtrooper.
I used black sesame spread for the black background on the “Star Wars” sandwich, and white chocolate to pipe on the words. I used cream cheese spread for the sandwiches featuring BB8, R2D2 and the Stormtrooper. I used nori and cheese for the features, and cut out an orange pepper for the details on BB8.
As for Chewie, I spread peanut butter and flicked it gently with a palette knife to create the “fur” texture.
I had originally made Star Wars bread buns, but the details did not pass hubby’s inspection, hence I did not post those.
Lastly, here is a Disney X Star Wars themed food art. When I was in Tokyo’s Disneyland I came across their Star Wars series, and two of the characters featured were Minnie Mouse dressed as Princess Leia, and Mickey dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi. I have made an onigiri version here.
I used aburaage for Obi-Wan Kenobi’s coat, as well as for Princess Leia’s hair. I mixed rice with teriyaki sauce to create Mickey and Minnie, and egg sheet for Princess Leia’s dress.
