Eeyore bentos

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Weekends always seem to pass by so fast.

Sharing two versions of Eeyore bentos today.

The first version is Eeyore in the form of a sushi art roll. I actually wanted to make a Tsum Tsum version of Eeyore for this sushi art roll.

I coloured some rice blue with water extracted from butterfly pea flowers to get the blue parts of Eeyore. It is certainly a rather large roll of kazarimaki-sushi, and I couldn’t finish it.

Sides were fried chicken (super crunchy and yummy), broccoli, cherry tomatoes and a ham flower.

The next bento is Eeyore made from noodles. I actually wanted to create a gloomy Eeyore who was having Monday blues too, but somehow did not manage to get his facial expression right.

I used water extracted from butterfly pea flowers to cook somen to get the blue parts of Eeyore. I used regular somen for his snout, and ham for his ears and undersides.

Sides were chicken wings and some mushrooms stir fried with peppers (to clear up the mushrooms and peppers left in the fridge).
