Rilakkuma Milk Pudding

The weekend simply passed by too quickly! Hope it was a good weekend for everyone.

Feeling so lazy today and woke up late, hence did not make any bento today. Sharing this Rilakkuma and friends milk pudding I made couple of weeks ago, I’ve shared this on my Instagram profile so this may look familiar to some of you.

Rilakkuma Milk Pudding

Milk pudding recipe (given by a fellow Instagrammer)

  • 120 ml yoghurt (I used plain low fat yoghurt)
  • 1  cup fresh milk
  • 2 tbsp gelatin
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar

1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold milk and let it rest for 5 minutes.

2. Mix in the yoghurt and heat on the stove over low heat, whisking the mixture continuously. Add the sugar and mix until dissolved.

3. Pour the milk pudding into the moulds and let it set overnight.

I used chocolate milk in place of regular milk to make Rilakkuma. For Kiiroitori, I added a drop of yellow food colouring.

To add the facial details, you may use chocolate sauce and drop into the hollowed spaces for the eyes and noses. I used melted dark and white chocolate to pipe on the details instead.

I would really love to do this with more characters, but at the moment this is the only mould I have. Will attempt this again once I have other moulds to work with.
