Miffy Easter Egg Hunt Bento

Made this fun Easter Egg Hunt bento whereby Miffy is looking for the last Easter egg, can you spot the missing one?

I had a different version in mind originally, wanted to make one using noodles but it didn’t turn out well. Happier with this version instead. Miffy is made of rice, and her shirt made of rice mixed with ketchup. The Easter eggs were made with quail eggs, I dunked them briefly for a minute in diluted food colouring.

I had tried colouring the eggs with natural food dyes last year, the colours didn’t stand out much even after soaking for some time, hence I used some food colouring this time round. I used a straw to scoop out random circles on the Easter eggs and interchanged the colours, to get the polka dot effect.

Sides include honey roasted chicken, steamed corn and broccoli, and strawberries.
