Good morning! Yes another Totoro bento today, this bento was inspired by a pack of black sesame tofu I found in the supermarket. When I saw the black sesame tofu, the first thing that came to mind was using it to make the Makkuro kurosuke, the soot sprites in My Neighbor Totoro.
I also added in a Totoro onigiri, with sides of grapes, beans, tamagoyaki, potato croquette and some renkon (lotus root) and carrot salad.
Taste wise, the black sesame tofu is rather bland by itself, so I had it with some soy sauce and ginger.
