This coming year on the Chinese zodiac is the year of the Sheep, so I would probably make a few sheep-themed bento in the upcoming weeks. Here is a simple sheep bento I made couple of days ago.
I boiled some cabbage in vegetable stock and layered over some rice. I used teriyaki chicken chunks to make the ground that the sheep is standing on, and rice and nori to make the sheep. The sun and clouds were made from carrots and kamaboko respectively.
