Snoopy Halloween Bento

I am joining some of my blogger friends for a Halloween bento blog hop, and today I am sharing this Snoopy Halloween bento.

Snoopy is lying on top of a Jack-O-Lantern, and Woodstock is dressed as a wizard flying on a broomstick.

I tried a new method of colouring the rice orange to create the Jack-O-Lantern. After the rice is cooked, I stir-fried some finely grated carrots and mixed it into the rice. I thought the orange turned out rather nicely, shall try this method again in future. Snoopy is made of mashed potato and nori.

I used half a hard boiled egg to create Woodstock. I sliced the egg in half and mixed some mayonnaise with the egg yolk and shaped it into Woodstock. His cape is made of nori, and the broomstick made from a pretzel stick and finely shredded tortilla.
