3 ways to decorate porridge

I bought their favourite chicken porridge over the weekend and quickly decorated each bowl before giving it to them.

Z1 has a panda:

  1. So, so cute!! Porridge in England is oats cooked in water. Could you tell me what oats in Singapore are? Obviously if they are chicken they must be savoury. I’ve never heard of chicken porridge before!

    • Porridge (the congee variation here in this case) is rice cooked in water until it forms a pretty thick paste, and yes these are savoury. Another variation of local porridge is more of rice grains in soup which is a lot more watery. My kids love the thick congee which is the one I used in the bentos above 🙂

Leave a Note! I'll love to hear from you.
