Ice kachang is a sweet dessert made of a little mountain of shaved ice and drizzled with various colours of sweet syrup, and has tiny cubes of jelly, red beans, corn and atap seeds. It is a great refreshing dessert locals enjoy on hot days. Thought I would make an ice kachang for Z1, and he was really curious asking what it was and what the real deal tasted like.
My ice kachang bento is made of rice with deco-furi drizzled along the sides (in red, green and yellow) like what the real ice kachang looked like. I used azuki beans and sweet corn to represent the ingredients that are usually served with ice kachang.
