January 24th is National Peanut Butter Day, although I don’t live in the States but hey, it’s a fun occasion and I eat PB sammies every morning for breakfast! It’s the fastest breakfast to pack to work and the PB keeps me full til lunch (compared to having jam sammies which get me hungry by 11am). So what’s to stop me from making a cute PB breakfast for the kids?
(I know, I’m late posting this cos it’s already the 25th in my time zone. That’s what happens when work piles up in the office, I get home late and by the time I tuck the kids in, it’s practically midnight. Yes, my Z1 is what I call an owl cos he sleeps late and hates waking up early in the morning).
Anyway, back to my PB breakfast. This was made for all 3 kids to share. I made Goldilocks and the 3 bears using milk bread, wholemeal bread and chocolate bread. I used my CuteZCute cutter to cut out Goldilocks and the Papa and Mama bear. Baby bear was made using a bear shaped silicone cup and I made a triple decker PB sammy in that for little Z3. Facial details cut out using the various cutters in the CuteZCute animal cutters, and Goldilocks isn’t quite golden-haired as I spread peanut butter to create her hair. (Please excuse the smudges of PB under her eyes).
I’m linking up today’s bento at Cristi’s BentOnBetterLunches Peanut Butter linky. Check it out the awesome peanut butter ideas. Have a fun day!
